This couple is expecting their third baby this summer, and I am thrilled I was able to capture some beautiful images of them before their new bundle of joy arrives! Her belly was still itty bitty, but I still think they will look back on these images and remember the exciting time before they became a family of five. I was interested in finding a different location from the standard parks and lakes. Being new to the Twin Cities area, I decided to just google a bit and then drive around St. Paul until I found something cool. I couldn’t believe how awesome the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary was! The area under the overpass, the abandoned building, the original stone retaining walls, the prairie, it was all lovely. After I left my scouting trip, I immediately started researching the area and found a very interesting write up on the history of the sanctuary here. Luckily, my clients were on board with the location and we had a really nice, not-to-cold day to shoot. As a St. Paul photographer, it’s important to know all the little areas that make great backdrops for family photos in the Twin Cities. I’m glad to have one more to add to my list, and I can’t wait to get back here and explore more once the weather gets warmer. Enjoy!
