My husband Shaun and I haven’t had a real vacation in a long time, it’s probably been over 5 years now. When he asked me last year if I’d be interested in a reggae show at Red Rocks in Colorado this spring, I said YES and started dreaming about all the fabulous photos I could take of the scenery. Fast forward a few months, and I realized the show was over Easter weekend! This is the first time I didn’t spend Easter with my family and kids, but it was so worth it for the experience we had. Colorado people are the nicest, and we had unseasonably warm weather for April. We were able to check out the Denver Botanical gardens, many (many) breweries and restaurants, the 16th street mall in downtown Denver, Red Rock amphitheater, and also the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. We also got treated to a moose munching on grass in a parking lot to end our visit! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to bring my camera to the show, but I’m grateful for the mediocre iPhone photos of Red Rocks, anyway. I’m so happy we were able to get away for a long weekend and celebrate our 8 years of marriage!
