While I don’t photograph weddings or large events, I love the opportunity to photograph small parties and family get togethers. This 90th birthday party was held at a restaurant in Schaumburg, and it was relaxed, full of love and laughter, and a lot of fun for everyone! The last thing you want to do while celebrating your loved one is worry about whether anyone has taken any photos. Also, most restaurants have dim lighting that can make phone cameras almost useless. I consider great photos of a special family event to be the ultimate necessity, so much more important than a fancy dinner or open bar. Those things are wonderful, but the memories of the time you spent together are truly priceless and won’t be forgotten. I am thrilled that I was able to capture so many posed and candid images of this sweet gathering, and the birthday girl was so pretty in pink! I hope they are framed all over the place, and a photo book of the occasion is also a great way to showcase galleries like this.
